Tim, Jim, & Pat’s Birthday Party

Thanks to all that shared in the celebration of Pat Vollmer, Jim Mittlestead and Tim Jacques birthdays. We felt the love in spirit and in the presence of those who were able to attend. A special welcome to Dave & Sheree Johnson who are about to become new home owners in the Weston Neighborhood. And a heartfelt thank you to Sheree for taking all the fabulous pictures at the party.

South Carolina Trip

It’s been way over four years since I’ve returned to South Carolina. Sue went back for a quick trip a couple years ago for a funeral but didn’t have time to visit friends or past haunts.

This trip was specifically to visit Scott, Stephanie and Bella at their new beautiful home in Aiken, South Carolina which is located about a half hour from North Augusta and Augusta, Georgia. The pictures tell it all. Although a brief stay, we were able to meet Sue’s cousin Trish and her husband Carl plus have an evening meal with Sue’s long-time friend Ann. We also had the good fortune to take some historical side-trips around Augusta which turned out to be exciting. Again, the pictures speak volumes.

A personal highlight for both Sue and I was the opportunity to see Beau, a pet we cared for while living in North Augusta that we wanted to bring with us when we moved to Ocala, Florida but because he wasn’t ours, had to leave behind. Beau had an accident that injured both legs which due to infection had to be operated on. He hadn’t seen us since we moved and when he realized who we were, began crying and whimpering, nudging into us. Our tears flowed.

Anyway, a fun trip and great memories made for all. Thank you Scott, Steph and Bella for your hospitality. We loved it.

Web Site Maintenance

Required maintenance to both Tim & Sue’s World and Stone Creek Photos will cause the sites to be unreachable for at least a day or two. The hosting company has changed servers which has caused a few problems with certain pages not rendering properly.

Sorry for any inconvenience to my frequent visitors. I’ll announce when the updates are completed.

UPDATE: Both sites have been repaired and should be in working order. As always, please notify me of any glitches. Thanks for your patience.

Tai Chi Class Social Gathering

The husbands were tag-a-longs to a few members of the Tai Chi class who last night, gathered at the Yamato Japanese Steakhouse for an evening of socializing and great oriental cuisine. Absent was the class teacher, Art, who was under the weather with a home-bound illness. He was truly missed.

Photos were taken but unfortunately, the dummy photographer (me) failed to adjust the camera settings which resulted in a total blurry mess. So sorry.

Webkinz Collaboration

Last month, Scott asked if I would consider working on a Christmas project for Bella. I was honored to be part of the collaboration of presenting Bella with a custom designed stage for her to better present her many Webkinz pets. Bella has her very own online Production Channel called “nappycatproductions”, featuring 11 shows already. Scott sent me a basic design of what he wanted to which he painted the final touches to a gift that was well received.

Ocoee Christmas – 2010

Today, Sue and I went back in time…way back! As if we were transported to the 1400’s, we were greeted by the King, Queen and Princess of Hardigree Castle. Queen Stephanie is known for her attention to detail when entertaining and today, this Christmas Day, she prepared a day’s festivities and feast that will not be forgotten. Also in attendance were Stephanie’s Mom, Patty, and her Grandmom, Lodema and her husband Bud. Princess Bella also was the “Court Jester” and provided excellent entertainment prior to our traditional medieval meal. Along with the games, laughter, tomfoolery and the wonderful world of yesteryear we experienced, the love of family coming together to share was the theme of the day.

Thank you Scott, Stephanie, and Princess Bella.  Photos

Palm Coast Christmas – 2010

A quick trip to Palm Coast to deliver presents and spend some time with Chrissie, Alexandra and Christopher. Presents were opened early and enjoyed by all. Lunch at Houligan’s with a very decorative waitress named Season along with fun and games.

Turning 40 in Stone Creek

Today, Stone Creek’s youngest resident, Heather Dawson, joyfully enters a new decade of life.

The 40s!!

~~ Happy Birthday Heather ~~

Events leading up to Heather’s birthday were meant to build her anticipation, and hopefully lessen the trepidation of entering into another era of life. A week ago, my ever thoughtful wife Sue, started by sending Heather daily funny emails titled “You know you’re turning 40 when…” which Heather said brought much laughter from her and Ross, her husband. They looked forward to checking her email for new quips.

Even before the emails began though, Sue sent out invitations to both Heather’s friends and ours from around the community for a party at our home to honor Heather on her special day. Last night was the big event with 23 of us coming together for a fun evening of drink, food and much laughter. Our Freckles had a great time as well!

Coming together as we did, during this special time, helps to solidify the friendships we all have made here in Stone Creek. Regardless of the reason, celebrating life, together, is a most wonderful way to grow old. Thank you Heather for allowing us to help you celebrate your life and thank you friends for giving Heather a memory to cherish.
